Visa information (Brazil)
Entry requirements for Brazil depend on your nationality and the purpose of travel. Many participants will be able to enter Brazil visa-free as visitors for short stays (often up to 90 days, depending on nationality and agreements). For example, UK passport holders are visa-exempt for visits up to 90 days under current rules. However, some nationalities do require a visa, and Brazil currently offers an electronic visitor visa (e-Visa) for certain countries (e.g., the official Brazilian consular guidance in the U.S. describes the e-Visa process and requirements).
Because rules can change, we strongly recommend that all participants verify the most up-to-date requirements using Brazil’s official consular resources:
- Nationalities that require a visa / visa exemptions” (official Brazilian government guidance)
- “Visa requirements by country” lists (official Brazilian government pages)
Participants traveling for the conference should ensure they apply for the correct visitor category (tourism/business/conference-type activities) and check documentation requirements well in advance.
Some participants will need a visa to enter Brazil. For example, as of the current rules in force since April 10, 2025, passport holders from:
- United States
- Canada
- Australia
generally require a visa, with an e-Visa option available for visitor travel. Note: Requirements depend on nationality and can change. Please confirm the latest rules via official Brazilian consular guidance before booking travel.
