Ale Jan Homburg is internationally recognized for his contributions to the study of homoclinic bifurcations, random dynamical systems, and non-uniformly hyperbolic dynamics. His research combines deep theoretical insights with a remarkable ability to connect different areas of mathematics, influencing both the foundations of the field and its future directions.

Currently at the Korteweg–de Vries Institute for Mathematics of the University of Amsterdam and the Mathematical Institute of Leiden University, Ale Jan has mentored various generations of mathematicians, inspiring young researchers with his clarity, rigor, and generosity. His collaborations span the globe, and his work continues to be a point of reference for colleagues world-wide.
During the conference, we will celebrate his achievements, his contributions to our community, and, most importantly, the joy of working and learning together with him.
Beyond his research, Ale Jan is known for his openness, kindness, and dedication to the mathematics community. His presence at conferences has always fostered an atmosphere of exchange and creativity, and many of us have benefited from his guidance and friendship.
