ICRDSRF 2026 is proud to commemorate the 60th birthday of Professor Ale Jan Homburg, a distinguished mathematician whose work has had a profound impact on the theory of dynamical systems.
Professor Homburg is internationally recognized for his contributions to the study of bifurcations, random dynamical systems, and non-uniformly hyperbolic dynamics. His research combines deep theoretical insights with a remarkable ability to connect different areas of mathematics, influencing both the foundations of the field and its future directions.
Currently Professor at the Korteweg–de Vries Institute for Mathematics, University of Amsterdam, Ale Jan has mentored generations of mathematicians, inspiring young researchers with his clarity, rigor, and generosity. His collaborations span the globe, and his work continues to be a point of reference for colleagues across Europe, the Americas, and Asia.
Beyond his research, Ale Jan is known for his openness, kindness, and dedication to the mathematical community. His presence at conferences has always fostered an atmosphere of exchange and creativity, and many of us have benefited from his guidance and friendship.
During the conference, we will celebrate his achievements, his contributions to our community, and, most importantly, the joy of working and learning together with him.
