In 2025, we celebrate two decades of an initiative that has contributed to training, research and mathematical dialog at the Mathematics Institute of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ): the Dynamical Systems Seminar. More than a sequence of meetings, this seminar has hosted the birth and development of various ideas, partnerships between mathematicians in general, mathematical articles and a pleasant atmosphere for discussing a range of articles. Usually with coffee at the end of the presentations.

Held uninterruptedly since 2005, with two weekly meetings lasting two hours, and topics not only in dynamic systems, ergodic theory, but also geometry, analysis and probability, the seminar stands out for its constancy, diversity and depth. And now it's time to celebrate part of that trajectory.

As well as being commemorative, this congress is a reunion between generations. We will have lectures by mathematicians who were part of this history, on recent topics and that will give a glimpse into the future of the field. More than reminiscing, we want to keep creating - because the momentum, after all, continues.
